What is a Rigid Box?

The paperboard used for rigid boxes tend to be a lot thicker than the paperboard used for folding cartons. Rigid boxes are roughly 4 times thicker. A rigid box cannot be made flat and reassembled, they must remain in box form from when they are assembled. Due to this, they are very sturdy and more durable, making them a good option for storing delicate or fragile products such as jewelry. Rigid boxes also tend to present a higher perceived product value for consumers as the finish makes the box look like it's of higher quality and thus  consumers perceive the product inside to be of higher quality too.
