Delivered Duty Paid
Responsibilities:
Seller:
Assumes all of the responsibility, risk, and costs associated with finding transportation and transporting goods until the buyer receives or transfers them at the destination port including export clearance and customs documentation (maximum responsibility on seller)
Buyer:
Must unload goods

Stands for:
Free Carrier
Responsibilities:
Seller:
Responsible for delivery of goods to a specific destination (typically a named airport, terminal, or other location where the carrier operates), assumes risk of loss until carrier receives goods
Buyer:
Pays transportation costs as part of price of goods, assumes all responsibility when carrier receives goods

Stands for:
Cost, Insurance, and Freight
Responsibilities:
Seller:
Must cover all costs for insurance and from loss/damage to product or customs/inspections/export paperwork expenses
Buyer:
Responsible for all other costs once freight is loaded
